like the title says. im shooting for 400whp on pump gas with a piston and rod ls/vtec a/c p/s compatible setup.

car has a real nice stainless 2.5 inch exhaust and was wondering how bad id suffer with the full 2.5 inch compared to a full 3 inch? can 400whp be made on a full 2.5 inc dp and exhaust?

 

I'm at 392 with 93 oct b18a1. 2.5inch dp cp piston/eagle rod.

 

whatr u running for a turbo and boost level?

 

I’ve seen 380ish through a 1.5”, it happened when a guys flex bellow malfunctioned and expanded on the inside. I think the car ended up making 600 after that was fixed. Can you do it yes, would you otherwise have a bit more power and earlier spool, probably. In the end it’s your call, so try what you like. You can always give it a go, and upgrade later if you want.

 

A/R 60 392 whp @ 15psi.

 

i had a b series pumpgas car doing 450hp/315tq, through 3inch DP/ 2.5inch exhuast.
