OBD1 Injectors B.S.!!
WTF?
I have been reading and Reading about how Honda bretheren
Claim that the only way to Run OBD1 injectors on a MPFI (OBD0) converted EF must require removal of the Resistor box and jumping the blk/rd and blk/ylo wires at the plug.....
How is it that my car runs fine with OBD1 injectors.... While still running the Resistor box and tan injector clips?? (I did modify the Injector plugs).
Is this Wrong? Will it mess up eventually? Or is this just faulty info passed on through the great Honda grape vine?

That is the thing Brutha Chorizo,
I have no Problems? That Is why I was trippin like a villan on pecicillan when I read about the OBD1 injector wire burrito!lol

That would make sense.
I bought a GSR head with these injectors in them. Then I came across an LS block. Little later I got a freshly new b16 head and used those injector unaware that the ef uses the resistor box
case in point I "modified" the injectos to fit the tan/yellow odb0) injector clips and never second guessed it. Running good too. 33 mpg.
Then I read about how OBD1 injectors need the resistor bypassed. hahaha I am still mobbin the resistor!?!

so to use obd1 injectors all you do is solder the two wires from the resistor box together???? im sorry for the thread jack but now im confused i heard there was alot of wiring to it...
if you are using either the peak and hold prelude injectors or OBD0 injectors, then keep the resistor box. if you are using saturated injectors...eliminate the resistor box by soldering together all 5 wires that go to it.
ok i guess ima have to research more cause thought there was only two wires to the resister box. and i dont know what satureated injectors are i know i have obd0 450 cfm dsm injectors and obd1 stock b18a1 injectors but not sure how to use either corectly
...ok just went and looked there is five lol
so just solder them together and run the obd1s and all is good?

?! I thought so to but I am running OBD1 injectors with a resistor. I doubt you just strip all the wires at the plug and twist them together. I think the each get jumped individualy.
nope you take the four red wires and the one yellow wire and connect them all together. that simple. if you are unsure about your injectors, you can always test the reistance of them.
ok sweet that helps so if im completly stock and the only obd0 injecters i have are the 450s even if the ecu is stock will it still run to rich? once again not trying to thread jack just finally found some informative peeps
Iwent out side and made a 5 wire jumper that I pig tailed and iserted the wire ends into the plug and it turned on Idled and ran fine???
Pulled it out and it died.
Pluged intot the injector resistor and it ran fine! hahahaha what a strange thing it runs OBD1 injectors with or without the Resistor?!

Whenever you change for a diffrent CC you really should get a tune - obviously you can get away tih running a little too much gas, but 450's are too much.
ok good to know so ill use the obd1 injecters ill test them for resistance first of course and then make a pigtail plug that solders all those other wires together..like what beans and rice did...and see what happens thanks guys
On the count that it looks ghetto. I just put 5 equal length wires, stripped and placed in each female plug prong and twited the ends Together
GHETTOOO!!!!!! This is only Temporary. I did not want to lop off the plug just yet.
I will wire tuck here soom
