my car had a hold in the intercooler. I just got it changed out and my car still wont boost. we check for leaks and it is all good. i look in the turbine and two fins are half missin and the other ones are kind of chipped. My turbo hasnt smoked or anything. Is this why i cant boost? So i can just get the wheel changed out?

 

Your wheel and shaft will need to be changed out, as well a rebalance. You should check to see if foreign matter has contaminated the oil as well. This may require a full rebuild. If the turbo is the right common size, it may just as well need to be replaced entirely. Also, check to make sure that the compressor wheel has not made contact with its housing.

 

yes change it out asap! most likely thats why u dont have boost, u should never have any chips in the wheel..
