Default B18c with CTR pistons 81.75

got a question i have a gsr block that was bored over 81.75. had the motor put together and it sounded like there was a knock i check my clearance and it was fine, rod bearings were also fine , even checked my valve lash, so a friend of mine uncle shop said he would take a look at it and he thinks i was hearing a ping from not a high enough octane, but im pretty sure i have 92 in my tank

anyone else run CTr pistons in a b18c block on regular octane other than 110
