ok just bougth a crx that was for sale on ehre, its popping a code how do i cehck it on the obd0 ? its has a b16a2 engine , it might be knock sensor ??

also shifterbushings do i buy them for a sohc or dohc ? can i buy fro crx or integra ??

heres what i bought,,,,,also b16a2 it has very very short gears, the transmission wines ?? is that normal ? not bad but it does ? other then that its perfect but 60mpg at 4k rpm lol vtec is lauuud at 5.1.

 

bump pleas elet me know how to po and read codes for the obd0 ? and its a pr3 b16a db8 ecu ?all obd0 looks lie ? but block is a b16a2 ?

Engine:
Fully torn down and rebuilt B16A2 by King Motorsports (have receipts). New bearings, gaskets, etc. Now has Civic Type R (PCT) pistons w/machined stock rods to accept them. ARP rod bolts were used with this combo. Results in appox 11.8 to 1 compression. Head was also torn down and rebuilt and reattached to the block using ARP headstuds.

Engine Bolt ons:
Blox intake manifold (similar to Skunk/type R), Hasport header, Thermal Research Exhaust, brand new distributor, MSD plug wires and a painted valve cover to top it off.

Transmission:
It has the JDM Integra J1 tranny in it. extremely short gears. trans has a slight grind at high rpms. Car also has a 7.5lb aasco aluminum flywheel and a clutchmasters stage 1 clutch.

 

If it has a PR3 ECU, then there will be a red LED on the ECU case that blinks out codes. With the key turned to position II (ON), pull up the carpet in the passenger side footwell and check the blinks.

Well b16 do have short gearing yes. You buy the shifter bushings for a 90-93 integra.

Also the tranny wining might indicate low trans fluid or input shaft bearing is going bad.

You can have a b16a2 which was orginally obd2 as obd0 just by changing the dizzy and the ECU.

PR3 is an OBD0 ECU.

Carefull, the PR3 comes in both obdO and OBDI designations!!

Pop the hood, look at the engine....does the wire harness have grey or white plugs coming off of it??

Next, how many o2 sensors? one or two?

Those two factors are great ways to identify which obd the car is setup with

 

2 oxygen sensors on the hytech ehader, and its a obd0 ecu as it has the legendary blinking light lol

also the block has a knock sensor and its wired in but not sure so how to i identify coed ? link to diy ? thankyou
