so i think my thermostat is shot but im not sure, when i start it and run it, it runs cold for about 20 min and then rasies little by little till its about 3/4 hot. so i turn the heater on full blast and then it cools down to about half way, so my question is does anyone know what it might be?

ive changed the fan switch back in january btw

 

Check by feeling the radiator hose for flow, but use a rag or something so you don't get burned. I always replace my thermostat by at least 3 years, because they are really cheap.

 

Replace the t-stat and see if this corrects the problem.

 

I would make sure that your cooling system is completely full first. Next would be to either check the thermostat or completely replace it. Also verify that the radiator cooling fan is kicking on when it is supposed to.

 

yeah i had already bought a new radiator, hoses, and fan, im going to replace the t-stat and hopefully that works, and yes the rdiator fan comes on when it should

 

I hope you bled the cooling system also, and how many miles do you have on the motor?
