Hi every one

which of the following butt welds would be considered the most difficult to weld in accordance with BS EN 287?

1. Single V butt
2. double V butt welded both side
3. single U butt with backing strip
4. assymetrical double V butt-welded both side

Why not just answer the question? I am sure a lot of people have suggestions on what is the hardest weld.

first one that came up on google for the person that didnt know what it was.Now maybe someone who knows how to weld can help this gentleman out

 

Give us a rundown on the specs for the qualification?
Is grinding allowed between passes? What process? What position?
#4 is likely a good candidate, but it's all very person-specific.
I have learned that everybody is different, teaching 100-150 students per year has really opened my eyes.
The backing strip weld gets a lot of pressure welders for some reason.
Please provide a little more info and I will be happy to chime in more specifically.
