No, you can't run the OBD1 dizzy with an OBD0 ECU.
It will wire up, but that doesn't mean it's the same.
The reluctor wheel inside the two dizzys have a different tooth count and send the wrong number of pulses to the ECU.

ok, when i turn the key, the fuel pump primes and the motor cranks, burns up the prime and then just turns over.

but if i get the obd0 to 1 jumper, and i have the d-series obd1 ecu p06, i should get the motor running right,

or would just a plain old obd0 si distro work just as fine.

the si dizzy doesn't exactly bolt up properly to the z6 head so you might have to get creative there. once you do get it installed though it should run pretty decent with the obd0 ecu. it won't be perfect and there wont be any vtec activation but it will definitely be driveable.

well the dpfi distro fits right up to the head, no problems no binds, NADA

so im sure the mpfi one will bolt up just the same

it wont. you have to modify the a6 dizzy if you want it to bolt up to the z6 head

If the DPFI dizzy bolts up fine then the MPFI will too.
The stock non-vtec head for the DPFI and MPFI are the same castings and both dizzy's both to that head (regular old DPFI to MPFI swap proves it).

Now - your using a D16Z6 head and neither OBD-0 dizzy (DPFI and MPFI) should be able to bolt up properly.

However, the OBD-0 dizzy's WILL both bolt right up to a Y8 head.

time for you to do a parts check!!!
