you need my pw0 ecu!
. haha. or just hook vtec to a shift light, just search "vtec shift light" and you should get a write up on it. but the ob0 vtec ecu's are the pw0 and the pr3. i have a pw0 for sale if you wanna go that rout, the cheapest thing to do is hook the vtec to a shift light or other rpm activated switch though.

If you run a pw0 (obd0 b16ECU)the car will run rich, I would not recommend going that route.
Buy the MSD rpm activated switch. Whatever pill you put in this is when vtec will engage, best to stick close to 4500 or so. This is the proper way to do it.
MSD version for 86.95 http://store.summitracing.com/partde...N=120%20301134
The easiest way is to convert the car to obd1 (dizzy, ECU and conversion harnesses) and run a p28
