i have a few questions....

this week will be my first time at the track.....wut are the rules? can i rent a helment? can i strip more parts from my car when i get there like my hood?

next question...w/ my set up...how fast should i be....
92 civic hatch. 98 b18b1 engine, 95 gsr tranny, cai, hollowed out cat. no rear panels or seats... i think thats about it.

please give me advice...ill need it.

Your car won't be fast enough to need a helmet so I wouldn't worry. Seeing as though it's your first time at the track you'll run 16's I promise. Later with practice you'll run 15's but the first time you'll spin alot or stall or start in reverse after you back up because you passed the tree on your burnout . Just remember to drive around the water/burnout box before you do your burnout. Radial tires do not need to go through water!!!

Just watch what other people are doing first and then try it. Always watch the track offical too because he runs the show. Good luck!

 

well...ur right about the 15's...but u were wrong on the 16. my first run ever on a track i did 15.7. only cause that damn tree suprised me. it was yellow..then all of a sudden green out of nowhere. i got nervous...and slammed on the gas. not a good idea...cause my car has so much torque...i was spinning there for a good 3 seconds. im sure my car is capable of 14.8 cause my friend has the same set up as me. its just that i'm a crappy driver...haha...but i loved the experience...it was mad fun....thanks for the advice though

 

you can take of your spare tire, rear seats, passenger seat if you didnt remove them already. also try launching at different rpms. my first time at teh track i kept my rpms constant; didnt see any difference in my times.
