What throttle cable to use in a 93 cx with a 96 B18B swap?
hello,
i have a 93 civic cx daily/project that ive been fixing up, and its got a 96 B18B swap in it. it feels like my throttle cable is sticking, and i want to replace it cuz it is very long and pretty beat up. so i was wondering which throttle cable i should buy so that it will fit the setup?
thanks,
inso

okay thANK you very much. all of those years will work? even on the 96ls? i kow the 96 ls is different from 94-95 ls engines
Urg. Match the throttle cable to the intake manifold being used.

'94 - '95 are OBD1, but as far as I know honda never changed the Intake manifold in a way that would affect the length of the throttle cable. If you want to be really safe order one for the year of the engine, or more specifically the intake manifold.

no use a da integra throttle cable!trust me fits good!dont need to make ur own bracket the throttle cable is like 15 bucks on ebay.the 94-01 cable will be too long i think.
nothin wrong with ebay stuff btw.its oem and its a throttle cable, not much could be wrong with it unless its visually snapped
You sure can.
what year DA? do u have a link to it on ebay?
okay. so im stuck betwen DA and 96 integra. one of the other things is on the firewall, the litle black plastic piece that sorta locks into the firwallitself, through which the throttle cable runs through, doesnt want to stay locked in, and always comes out of the firewall. which lets the bare throttle cable rub against the firwall metal. is ther any way to fix this?
i think the 96 cable is really long. it like wraps around my alternator housing and just always gets in the way of me trying to fix my idle issues.

turn car on, idles at 1100-1200. when hot, idles at 1500. took my intake off, with car running, plug the iacv hole in the TB with my finger. nothign happens. unplug the plug for the iacv..nothign happens. unplug the tps plug. nothing happens. unplug MAP, car dies. restart car, cover TB with my palm. the car dies. very strong suck, and keeps the vacuum for a while after car is off..which tells me theres no vacuum leak. checked TPS, its .33volts closed throttle engine turned ON (II). (this is also with the throtle screw...the one below the throttle rotor thing..all the way out. so i turn the screw till tps reads .45 closed throttle. turn car on idles at 2200. now today, i drove it to work, and the throttle seemed to "stick". like id be sitting at red light, light turns gren, i let go of the clutch slowly and try to push pedal, but it gets stuck a little. almsot like if the throttel plate had glue on the edges and would glue shut every time i let go of gas. its not the pedal. thats why i want to replace cable. the cable is properly loose....about 1cm of play from center. i have no idea what else could be wrong. i think its the throtel body.
i think its the ecu.run a p75,u can run a p28 but it would have to be chiped,i dont know alot about how to make it work.stock p28 is a single cam ecu to it doesnt make any sense to run it.make sure its manual ecu btw.the car is throwing a vtec code because p28 is vtec ecu and ur ls is non vtec.im sure u know this but just to clarify.

i did. same thing. i unhooked cable let it idle same thing. i even bought another iacv....but when i hooked that one up....i think its froma gsr, it idled at 2000 then dropped to about 1500 in 2 seconds and stayed there.
yeah p28 is single cam,its from a ex eg civic ahaha.u said it use to run fine with p28though so idk.lets just talk on the other thread.this is too confusing lol.
