I have a 96' ek dx and wondering what sensor is on The back of the block on the aluminum cooling line above the oil filter, the color of the wire is either white or yellow with a small red stripe. Can anyone help me I.D this sensor

 

knock sensor?

 

It's the Oil Pressure sensor.

The D16Y7 (DX) doesn't have a knock sensor, although the Y8 does.

 

is it ON the water pipe???

i can't recall any year/model that had a sensor on the waterpump tube

 

I don't have time to take pics for a couple of days but from what I'm hearing is that the 96' ek dx doesn't have a knock sensor. I'm currently running a p2p out of a coupe ex which does look for the knock sensor. I haven't been driving but would it be ok to drive? A guy I know said only milage would suffer, his knock wasn't plugged in and is running 17lbs w/320whp

 

Anyone have any input on my particular issue
