Ac causing leak on passenger side
Everytime I use the ac, theres a leak that gathers on the passenger side floor mat. Its been leaking like that for quite some time, but I would really like to see if I can fix it myself without taking it to a shop. Any idea what could be causing this and how I can fix it? I can actually hear it when I make turns and then spills on the passenger side floor.
Would removing the glove compartment be easier to access this tube? I had gotten under the car and seen the tube where all this water should eb coming out from and when i moved it around a bunch of water came out, but I guess the problem is coming from the evap tube..

Most (as mentioned) utilize a coat hanger. I follow it up with compressed air and some Lysol (to control mold and mildew) (That odor you get when you first start the A/C)

Is this "tube" really a black hose that runs all the way to the bottom of the car?. I stuck a coat hanger carefully all the way until the hanger came out from the bottom of the car where the water was coming out. Im confused as some people have mentioned to pull apart the canister to reach this "tube", put mine are actually held by screws...
The blockage is probably in the spout on the bottom of the evap case ( where the hose plugs into ). If you get a small mirror and look up there with the hose off I bet youll see the blockage. Or just carefully stick something up there to clear it out. There can be a lot of junk in there..
Thanks. I think I did it right then. I not only stuck it all the way through until it stuck out from the bottom of the car, but also into the evap case where one can start seeing the hose come out from underneath the dash.. Ill try it out tomorrow to see if it leaks.
