Default Oil Pressure Tap Cracked

I was tapping in a new fitting to run an oil pressure gauge where the stock oil pressure sensor goes when it got fractured, I pulled the motor out and sent it to a machine shop to do an aluminum weld on it. I was just wondering if it will hold up on track or if i have something to worry about. Any advise would help. THANKS.

You could have just drilled and tapped it to a bigger size, would have been easier than pulling the motor and sending it to a machine shop.

But why a machine shop to do the welding? Do you know if they do a lot of aluminum welding?

I've done that before and it worked well. I had the port welded shut and then used a sandwich plate for oil feed.
