Default Whats the best way to ship HEAVY items?

Hey guys, im in need of a cheap way to ship a f22b1 tranny to one person and a block to another. Is anyone cheaper than UPS? Also, what do you do if your package exceeds the 150lb limit? Ive never shipped something so heavy so I dont know. How much does the tranny and block weigh anyways? Thanks again.

Shipped individually each should be under 150 lbs. Eh the tranny and packaging might exceed that.
Have you checked rates on UPS and FedEx sites? (ground of course)

You can ship it UPS. You just have to go through UPS Logistics. I have the number at work...I can get it for you tomorrow. Or just call 1-800-PICK-UPS.

Yes...I work for UPS.

I think we're talking about just the block, you're talking about a whole motor, with oilpan, crank, rods, pistons, head, valvetrain, valvecover, intake manifold, etc.

I just weighed the two parts. Thr tranny housing without the clutch and flywheel weighs 95lbs. Clutch and flywheel weigh 30 lbs. Block with no head and only the crank and pistons weighs 145lbs on an f22b1.
