I just got this car.. So I dont know what is normal. When I pull the lever to open the trunk/backwindow it unlatches.. So i get out and expect to easily be able to lift the window up to open the window or even have teh window fully open when I get back there. but it is not.. It is just barely unlatched, where I have to get my fingernails under the rubber gasket edge to get a grip to open the window.
Sound normal? or do i need new shocks?

Yup... The struts only hold it open once the glass is lifted. Its just like a hood latch.

These arent BMWs or Benz's where the trunk opens up for you.... lol.

thanks, just weird there isn't a handle of any kind.. maybe I should install a rear wiper, that would make a handle.

 

you can order a honda hook/handle for the rear glass. It was an option.
I added one to the rear glass of my 92 VX.
