Default Did I just break my knock sensor???

Hey guys, so I have a 94 Integra GSR. Well, when I was unpluging all the connector, one of the sensor just came right out with the green connector. (behide and on the right side of the block when you are facing the car, right under the intake manifold)

My question is:

1. Is it the knock sensor that I broke?

2. Is it going to work if I glue it back on lol or just get a new one?

From your description it sounds like it is the knock sensor. That happened to me too.

I got a new one from here.

Anyone know if this is true? Beacause the picture you guys posted, just look excatly like the one that I broke. BTW, I just get a new used one from ebay.

Edit: Wait...obd1 gsr should have a knock sensor, because the engine is going to retarted the timing when you use 87 right???

I broke one today too. No need to buy a new one. Just solder both the wires back to the piezo sensor. then epoxy back the two halves. I did just that. I also tested it with an oscilloscope. The single wire goes is the signal, the body is the ground. Scope shows sharp pulses when the body of the knock sensor is tapped with a hammer confirming it works as it should...

If you do not have access to a scope, connect the knock sensor to the MIC input of your PC, fire up a Sound recorder software such as audicity. U can view the AC waveform when you tap the knock sensor body!
