h22 clearance in crx
Hey. Kinda new to this forum but I've noticed that there are some damn knowledgable guys on here. My question now is that I have finished assembling my h22a motor to go into my crx. I am using an m2s4 trans and inovative mounts. Will I need to hammer the body to make room for my crank pulley? Or, can I simply cut my pulley to a single pulley and have it fit? Thanks guys. I expect to have this hogg in this week.
maybe this might help...!!!

I am running hasport mounts and a underdrive that I called and had them machine the ps section off. I think it was another 50 bucks for it. I didn't have to clearance it at all.
Hmm. Well I have measured and it looks like the motor will fit with no trouble. I have the trans in the car now so I could line up my shifter cables. I have roughly 20.5" from the input shaft to the body of the car. I am a machinist so I will just chop the pulley if I have to. Anyone ever have balance issues with an oem pulley that has been remachined?
if you get an f20b pulley they have a signal drive on them.

You shouldn't have to beat on the driver side frame rail but then again I am referring to our Motor Mount Kit...
Yes the alternator only crank pulley is needed... simply have a machine shop cut the PS off the crank pulley with a lathe and have them balance it afterwards. Or like mentioned above purchase the F20B/H23A Vtec/Euro R crank pulley from H motors online.
F/H motors/Trans are big motors specially in the smaller EF chassis... about 1/2" or less to spare on each side.

I run lathes almost every day. I am a machinist. I'm sure it will fit once I cut the pulley. The IM mount kit puts the edge of my trans maybe a 1/4 inch off the passenger side frame rail.... However. I think I may go for the f20b pulley for the fact that it will allready be balanced from the get go. I've cut a few pulleys for friends and they've always worked. My friends b18a swap needed no pounding on the rail for his pulley once I made it a single drive. I'm looking to pick up a full f20b in the next year or so. Maybe sooner if bonuses allow at my work haha. Thanks guys. Any other info is appreciated, just throw it up
