Default H23 Block W/H22 Head

need to know how reliable it would be if i was to do this swap. also would like to know wat i would need to do to make vtec work. some ppl told me i had to drill somethin out but not sure. would like to know wat is needed to make it a successful swap. thanks

for vtec get correct ecu, wires from vtec solenoid to ecu pins. should be reliable

reliability with builds of any kind is based more so on the expertise/experience of the guy building the motor...

& The quality of the parts being used can also be a factor.

The H23 VTEC is not a hybrid motor. There is a JDM H23 VTEC engine that uses the H22A/F20B head. I would imagine that if it is built using quality parts and Honda spces. It should be as reliable as any other Honda engine.

not sure if your talking about drillin out "the oil stop" if i can remember doin my mini me swap years back theres a plug in the non vtec block that you had to remove for better oil flow for VTEC im gonna assume that its the same with a non vtec f/h

Yea that motor w/o any mods completely stock MOVES!!! That motor is sick!! It only came in a accord SiR wagon. I believe in 98-00. Comes wit a blue top.

H22 head + H23 block

Of course, that's for a Prelude, so you'll have to change some things to fit into an Accord.
