I have a 93 Del Sol with a D16Z6, approx. 130,000 miles on it. Sometimes when I drive it, the CEL comes on, sometimes it doesn't or waits 10 - 15 minutes before it does. If I stop anywhere and turn the key off, wait for a few minutes and turn it back on, it doesn't come on at all. I believe it has a OBD 1, but can't find anyone to check it (Besides the dealer, UGH !) Is there anyone who can help me ??? It would be greatly appreciated

when you get the check engine light, right away check the code b4 turning the car off. crxboy909 already gave you the link so you can check your own codes.

but seems to me like your 02 sensor is going. reason why the check engine comes on is becuase when the o2 gets real hot it starts malfunctioning and throws the code. but when turning off the engine and waiting to get cool the 02's heater doesnt detect the heat anymore reason why the cel goes away.
