Default AC blown? or not?

I overfilled my AC, turned the car off and could hear a leak coming from the end (not clutch end but other end of the compressor), and all my freon drained out. theres what looks like a rubber plug on a rubber string hanging down from the end, can i just insert that plug again and fill it up, or is it shot? i NEED AC, and its supposed to get over 100 this week. thanks.

sounds like you blew your AC compressor check valve, you just buy another one from www.majestichonda.com, it is $50 with shipping. its about $10 cheaper then honda, unless you REALLY need it now, i would order it,, it takes about 3 days to get to you. once you have it, take the old one out and put the new one in and then recharge it and your set

ea...but i didn't order the valve... I just stuck the plug back in, filled the hole with JB Weld, and screwed it back on. filled it up, and it's good to go. I didn't know how much freon to add before, but i was able to clean off a sticker under the hood that says 21 - 23 Ounces of freon, so i put in 21 ounces. Works like a charm!
