Icon2 Cut in-car heat from cat?

I was wondering if this product would be good to stick under the car the cut the heat coming in the car from my 3'' metal cat? I feel a lot of heat from the shifter boot and on my right leg... and it raises the in-car temperature a lot...

Will it peel off over time?

Or should I try to fit a heat shield on my cat?

Thanks for your time!

I don't know if the adhesive is temperature stable to the temps for that area, but if it gets soaked with oil, it'll lose its tack.

Heat shield would be better or wrap/coat the exhaust.

Thanks for your reply but do wrapping the cat will cause damage to it? Will it ''melts'' the inside?
