Default DOHC ZC OBD1 Conversion?

So, I am rebuilding a ZC right now... I was wondering if anyone has ever converted it to OBD1. Would this be worth it at all? Making it run smoother etc. I could source the parts from a newer D16, like the dizzy and O2 sensor, but what ECU would I use?

you would need the OBD1 DOHC ZC distributor, TD43U

unless you are going to boost the engine, converting to OBD1 has no advantage over OBD0 - it will run the same

Just use an LS distributor and LS ECU, it's not that hard to do. Then tune the car for whatever your specific setup is.

^from my experience, the ls dizzy does not fit.

i'm using a 92-95 civic dx/lx distributor. you would really have to hack the **** out of it to get the timing "right".

for the ecu, get a p06 or another other obd1 ecu and get it chipped. ask them to load p29 obd1 dohc zc maps.

ill see if i could get a picture of my civic distributor for all your DOHC ZC people, since there are none on here.

I know for a fact you can fit the LS distributor, but you will have to use an LS cam cap.

regardless of what distributor you use, the LS cam cap is needed.

get the correct distributor and you don't need to modify anything, except the wiring
