'01 Accord F23A4 timing belt swap - parts needed?
I'm new to the forum, but it seems like there are a lot of great people here with a lot knowledge. I tried searching for info on what parts I need to swap the timing belt and water pump on my 2001 accord coupe 4 cylinder ULEV F23A4, but the closest I found was the F22B1 guide.
I emailed majestic and these are the parts they suggested I change. Is there anything else you guys would change while doing this job?
TIMING BELT.............14400-PAA-A02
BALANCER BELT.........13405-PAA-A03
ADJUSTER.................14510-PT0-004
WATER PUMP.............19200-P0A-003
CAM SEAL.................91213-PT0-003
CRANK SEAL..............91212-PAA-A01
BALANCE SEAL...........91233-PT0-003
The F22B1 guide lists some different part numbers and additional parts, but I figure that's due to the different engine?
F22B1 Parts List
- Timing Belt : 14400-P0A-004
- Timing Balancer Belt: 13405-PT0-0004
- Power Steering Belt: 56992-P0A-J02
- Alternator/Compressor Belt: 38920-P0A-J02
- Water Pump: 19200-P0A-003
- Front Balance Shaft Retainer Kit: 06923-P0A-306
- Valve Cover Gasket Kit: 12030-P0A-000
- Timing Belt Adjuster (Tensioner): 14510-PT0-004
- Timing Balancer Belt Adjuster (Tensioner): 13404-PT0-004
- Timing Belt Adjuster Spring: 13407-P0A-000
- Timing Balancer Belt Adjuster Spring: 14516-P0A-000
- Hondabond High-Temp Silicone Gasket Sealant: 08718-0001
I want to make sure I get everything I need at once, as shipping for individual items from majestic gets pricy!
Thanks!

I changed the timing, balancer, power steering, and AC belts, tensioners for both the timing and balancer belts, water pump, and I got new springs for the tensioners. I got the cam and balancer seals, but I ended up not changing those. 20k miles since then, and everything is fine.
i always like to change the thermostat when i put a new water pump on, just for insurance and reliability. i also plan for the valve cover gasket kit, rarely have i pulled one loose while doing a timing belt and found that it was like new.
not technically a "part" but you'll need at least a gallon of premixed anti-freeze, you're going to spill a lot.. even after draining.
...you can get OE quality parts without buying them from the dealer and save a bit of money.

The tensioners were around 50 apiece, and the Tbelt was 50 or 60, another 50 or so for the water pump. You're probably looking at 200-250.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm going to replace the belts and the valve cover gasket at the same time.
I figure I'll hold off on the thermostat because if I remember correctly you can do that anytime.
Here's hoping my stuff gets here this week so I can get it done this weekend! thanks again!
