sealing the oil pump. what to use

Default sealing the oil pump. what to use

Could i use hondabond to seal as a gasket. its rated for 600c i think...im at work so im not looking at it. Unless someone can think of something better to use??

You can use permatex black, grey, or hondabond. I use hondabond and I personally don't have any trouble.

That is correct, built a few engines and used Red and gray RTV with and without gaskets. The gray stuff is really good but that was for oil pans when I had no gaskets and the stores were closed. When I took it off months later, it came off like it was the factory gasket all in one piece and I could have even reused it.

Room Temperature Vulcanizing = RTV
