Okay well I just picked up a 89 CRX Si with a turbo setup, well here is the specs and I want everyone to tell me what is the weak point on this turbo and build setup! Thank you guys, will post pics soon!

- just changed the oil, filter, plugs(2 steps colder for boost), wires, it does have arp head studs, new air filter.

- and i have not installed an Omni Power 3 bar Map Sensor

someone comment? Im not a honda tech so im short in this info.

 

Having a crazy setup like that and not knowing anything about it or being a "honda tech" is not a good plan. Build looks fine to me, anything weak will bring itself to the forefront quickly hah

 

I know enough, to fix most things, just dont know the good honda brands

well I would get rid of that xs power wg and pick up a tial 38mm for starters. . .

 

get hondata s300 or neptune rtp. im running a cheap 44mm ebay tom tom wastegate on my street car that consistently runs 11.8s i have had no problems with it. but i run 44mm tial on my 700hp race car lol weres the pics?????

 

You haven't even listed the brands for most of the parts, how are we supposed to comment on it then?

 

So everyone is saying ditch the XS WasteGate? If I get a Tial Wastegate should I go with a different BOV as well? It is XS also I think, but seems to be working fine, and also, what is a good manifold to get? The one that is on the car is cracked on the last tube, so i would want to get a new mani and WG at the same time. Also I think I want to turn the Boost down to 6 Psi since I will be running this car in HPDE and driving on the street, i dont want to blow it up. So will I need a Boost Controller Correct? And pics will be UP TONIGHT!

I pasted it from the list of mods on the site I bought it, let me go back and double check everything, does that not sound right?

 

no the blow off being a xs power is fine, just get the tial wg . . . I have used ebay wastegates with no problems but I also used one that spiked on me . . its a hit or miss. . I would just be on the safe side and get a tial . your blow off is fine though . . . I would get something like a inline pro turbo manifold. . . its all up to you though . .

 

I would buy the fjr spec rods over the scat because the pistons wont reach the top of the deck with the scat rods resulting in a really low and incomplete combustion.

i have been running and installing these wastegates on cars for a few years now and had no problems. there actually good quality. and obx manifold are decent i have one on my street car in my sig thats running 11.8s and no cracking for 1 year so far. my dads da has a obx ram horn and its running 11.6s and hasnt cracked.

so your saying the wastegate i have is worse then the ones that you showed me on ebay? And also, what style of manifold do you perfer, the one is 1st listing or 2nd listing, also the thing you wanted to see to me for $300 shipped, was that a boost controller? and what did you pay for it orig.

get the obx ramhorn manifold and yes the wastegate is better than yours.
