No. Not again. This will just end up like all the others. It will migrate from a looks-only discussion into a full-fledged 25-page bitchfest on how we got screwed out of a real Type R.

Though the Type-R has better styling, performance and name (Type R is cooler than just Si), I just do not like the 4 doors. If they were to make a Type R coupe with this body style, I would like it even more. But they won't..::sigh::

Coupes are just not JDM

You never know. Hatchbacks used to be cool, until every realized they were lame. I'm just waiting on everyone to realize that sedans are lame.

The age old addage of what they want is what we have and vice-versa. I would generally always prefer a JDM vehicle over a USDM vehicle but i'll have to agree that the more subtle nature of the car we inherited actually is aesthetically a notch above the JDM. Are the motors different in the type-R?

^its the same motor but its a k20a instead of our k20z3, but it has better internals hence the 23 hp difference.
its still 2.0 four banger

I know it produces about 20hp more than the usdm, mainly due to the US having stricter emissions

Probably. I know the mugen type r has more hp out of the box than a mugen si. It might just be the same motor with a better intake and exhaust, but idk. I dont even care, though. All Im saying is that I like the usdm sedans better than the jdm ones.

I dont even like the 06-up coupes. Not at all. I think theyre ugly as sin, in fact. But, this thread is based on subjective views. So, theres no reason to even argue.

Damn your so **** opinionated over your hot **** econo honda, stick to the thread topic. Your lame.

OP- The only cosmetic part about the JDM Civic Type R I prefer over the USDM Civic are the tail lights. So my vote goes for the USDM Civic, now if their was a USDM CTR then even better.

It's all subjective. I don't mind the different fascia, but the difference in power is what annoys me. Where the option for: "We're in America and we like to bitch about Japan's decisions?"

You have to somewhat resent, yet respect Japan, for making all their cars faster than ours.

Its not just Honda or Mugen, Nissan does it as well.

Jdm stuff is almost always better. They get all the good **** and send us the left overs. I just hate seeing people drop 10x the value of a part just because it's Jdm. When you need a damn Jdm oil cap and coin holder that's a bit excessive.

I do think the shape of the JDM headlights are better than what they've offered here. In fact, the bumper and lower valence are nicer than what we have here also. The rest of the car is obviously similar in shape but overly ricey on the JDM version. I'd love to be able to compare the interiors.

The new honda accord HF-S looks sick as hell. Its a coupe but it kinda seems like it would be a sedan. The honda accord type-s sedan is pretty clean.

See, just from those 2 photos, the JDM interior is considerably better, even the small tweaks to the interior, they just look good, its cleaner.

Just so you know the base price of a regular (non-Mugen) type R is 32 thousand American dollars. $10,000 better buy a nicer interior than an Si.

That HF-S is nice...what is HF though? Is that the chassis code?

Off Topic, but on a RHD car, is 1st gear all the way to the left, or all the way to the right? (Do the gears progress left or right?) I imagine it makes more sense for it to be on the right.
