Default to swap or not to swap

i've driven my sol stock now for just over a year and a half and am looking to get a little more oomph off of her. The question is, to swap or not to swap. Currently shes running bone stock on a d15b. However the D has seen better days and is starting to have a few issues that make me not trust it (anthropomorphically, not necessarily mechanically). So do i fix the issues with the D or go junkyard a b series and open a whole new can of troubleshooting worms? as a sidenote, the problems with the D would be easy fixes aside from a phantom problem with my fuel system. Sometimes my car just doesnt start, with no real rhyme or reason.

What are you doing with the car? Do you want more power, or just reliability? Power: B18. Reliability: fix what you have.

Non-VTEC B series. They're cheaper to replace than to rebuild.

I'm a fan of d series but I say just swap. A b16 would be nice in there.

I'm kinda leaning that direction AxM. Where does one begin when building a non vtec d15 though? i've been looking for sources of some go fast bits, but i feel like the D's don't get the same support the B's do. am i just not looking hard enough?
