oil leak

Default oil leak

just got the block back from a machine shop they built the bottom end they said they checked the head they also sold me the gasket kit for this. its a B16a2 all new parts just put it in last night and im leaking oil on the front side of the head to the block on both right and left corner all torque specs are correct gasket was installed the right way anyone have any ideas.

Where's it leaking from? Head gasket, cam seal, valve cover?
Head gasket, someone at the shop should be beaten or the seal is junk. Cam seal, replace with an aftermarket seal, oem seals are known to be crap, and put some Hondabond/RTV on the new seal. Valve cover...RTV that sucker.

its leaking from the head to the block where the head gasket is.

Can you take pics of the leaks? Did you use copper spray when installing the HG?

ok been at this all day and its not the head gasket or from the head to the block its higher up. im checking the cam seals and then going to make sure the valve cover is on correct being that i didnt install that part.

The gaskets higher than the headgasket that are notorious leakers are the dizzy o-ring, the vtec solenoid gasket, and the pasenger's side cam seal. On the other side of the head, it's much more rare to have leaks, but the o-rings around the camshafts can leak from time to time. If the valvecover gasket is bad, it's pretty obvious.

ok buttoned up the leak that was the valve cover gasket thought that might fix it but it did not.it didnt fix some of the leak i did find a problem but i am leaking at the head gasket. i used arp head studs honda torque specs are 65 ft/lbs plus or minus 2 we have them at 67. arp is calling for 80 ft/lbs on thier studs.ive got a new gasket but should i torque it to 80 like arp is saying?
