SI ttranny problem

Default SI ttranny problem

putting si tranny on it
one problem....the clutch pump or valve thats on the tranny..that metal piece doesnt feel like its touching the clutch...do i have to take the clutch out first and put it in the tranny before i put the tranny on the motor?? help please

Did the Si tranny come with a clutch fork? The valve thingy is called a clutch slave and it should be pressing against the clutch fork. When you push the clutch pedal, the piston in the slave pushes against the fork, which is mounted on a ball pivot, and the other end of the fork pushes on the clutch release bearing.

It sounds like you may be missing a part or something is not installed correctly.

no i got the clutch fork i got all the parts its just im not putting em on the right way,like im 100% sure i have everything but do you have to take the clutch off in order to put a tranny on?? like do i take the tranny off and then the clutch?

no. you should never have to remove the clutch to replace a tranny, just leave it on the motor.
post a pic, you probully have something on wrong,

im a little confused, on what you mean, its impossible to remove the clutch without the tranny off, you just cant. again, you shouldnt even have to touch the clutch to swap a tranny,

Its spelled VTEC, not V-TEC.

its the trowout bearing u probably dont have one on or soemthing

thats not possible.
the throwout bearing holds the fork in place, but he may have it in back words,

when we swapped a b20 into my friends dc4, one of our friends had a brain fart or somthing put it in wrong, and it didnt sit right, or want to move up and down, and after about a half hour of messing with it, it broke, then we realized after some sleep and a new one what was wrong, swaps at 3am lol what can i say

the thing that im pointing at is loose when i have the tranny on..it doesnt feel like it presses against the clutch..how do i fix that?
