its in the car and i popped the boot off the driver side axle and got it free, but the axle doesnt pull out of the trans? what do i need to do?

 

get a breaker bar and pop it out...!!!

 

 

Is your axle nut off? did you drain the tranny?

 

simple. Get something to pry between the housing and the axle, pry, and remove. a large flat screwdriver, a crowbar, anything. Don't just yank on the thing, cause you might mess up the joint. if you plan on replacing it anyway, pulling is acceptable
