Car start problems. Maybe fuel?
I"ve got a 91 civic hatch si the motor was swapped years ago for a d16y7. Some mornings I can get it to start with no problem at all, others I have to spray ether into it to get it to start otherwise it's no bueno. The last couple of days it's been like that, and getting worse I can put a shot of ether in it and It will start up for a few seconds, then die off once again. If I have a friend shoot ether into it for about 5 seconds once it gets started it will run just fine. I"m thinking it's just not getting fuel. (just a thought). This morning I ran out of ether, so no work for me this morning.= bad deal.
I would double check the Main Relay under the dash.
When you turn the key to on does the CEL come on (clicks) and then it goes off with a 2nd click? If not it sounds like the pump isn't priming the system properly.
Are you throwing any CELs?

fuel press reg, fuel fil, main relay, wouldnt be your ECU fuse cause it starts. fuel pump most likely my friend, im currently having the same problem, but its in short incidents. very aggravating. mine will start once it feels like it. but i dont have to spray ether in it. but most likely your pump or your main relay. now when u go to look into a new main relay and go to autozone or advanced, make sure to look and locate your main rel. cause the ones that autozones system have for the "MAIN" relay, truely arent the main relay, it is the started relay. your OE main relay should say mitsuba on it. at least, im pretty sure.
If you happen to have a saudering gun, just re-sauder your ain relay (if it's bad). I did it to my EF that I'm getting rid of and haven't had any problems with it since. I used to have a DIY webpage bookmarked, but it's gone now. But it really isn't hard if you know basic saudering. Good luck!

On the passenger side, if you pull back the carpeting, there should be a metal plate with a hole in it. if you turn your key in your ignition to the second click (right before cranking), there may be a light that flashes in that little hole. That's your ecu telling you wnat's wrong. Have a pen and paper ready, as it may flash multiple times, then pause, and it may flash some more. those are the codes. count the flashes before eash pauseif there's more than one) and write them down. compare them to this --- http://www.geocities.com/honda_club_egypt/ecu.htm --- that page hasa list of codes in order of the amount of flashes. Remember, the codes, if present, will repeat from low to high.
As for the main relay, mine is located on the drivers side, nearly at the crook of the door. you will have to get down by the floorboards to see it, as it is under a plastic covering. It should be bolted to your car by one bolt, and is usually 1 inch by 2 inches in size. I forget what it will have written on it, but there should be some words there.
And I have no idea on the fuel injectors.
Edit: And yes, CEL's are check engine lights.
