Default Blown B18C5's?

I know some of your have blown your OEM ITR motors. My question is, how many miles/km's were you at and what sort of abuse was the motor subject to?

I wonder how durable the B18C5 is if you keep the stock internals, stock ECU (rev limit, fuel maps, vtec crossover), regular maintenance and level headed driving (ie. let the engine warm up before engaging VTEC, no rev limiter bouncing in the snow, vtecing up a hill, VTEC while towing, proper cool down after racing, etc.).

I'm hoping to get at least 250K km (160K miles) out of my original motor with the above care.

vtecing up a hill, VTEC while towing
I have two questions....

What's wrong with vtecing up a hill, too much stress?
What would you tow with an R, I couldn't imagine anything more than a jetski?
