Default iat sensor help?

i got a b16 sir2 in my 96 ex and now im have problems with the iat sensor wat do i need to make this work

well im trying to finish the swap and im having problems connecting the sensor my mechanic told me that it doesnt connect to the manifold and he said if this sensor isnt hooked up my car may run like crap

Your harness already has the sensor right??? You can drill a hole in your intake and plug it there. If not your OEM intake should have a hole.


You dont have to have it connected, your car will be fine but its recommended you have it installed. I drove around for 6 months without the sensor connected and it ran fine. The sensor could connect to either the manifold, or the intake.

ok so i dont have to extend the wire if i wanted to put the sensor in the intake instead of the manifold and wat do i do with the plug in the manifold since it will not be used ?

Naw just connect it to your intake.


Just leave it there, its not gunna do anything.

the intake dat i have is a very cheap one can i run my car without that sensor hooked up till i get a real intake

It Could also be right on the back side facing the fire wall.
