need help on installing rear brake pads
how do i push the caliper piston back in on the rear brakes? also, is there an easier way to loosen/tighten the bolt closest to the ground on the caliper? i was using a vise-grip but then i started to strip the head of the bolt. can i move that "thing" so i have room for a socket wrench?
well, oridinarily, you would use an SST, but you can just use a vice grip.
I don't remember off hand if it's clockwise or counterclockwise. my suggestion would be to go pick up a helms manual (or haynes, I guess..but they're not nearly as helpful)

all I did was get a big flathead screwdriver, and put it about in the middle of the "x" across the caliper, and turned it clockwise, remember righty tighty, lefty lossey? and the caliper move in with ease, this was on a 00si, but they are all about the same.
