Default Speed sensor keeps on dying

My speed sensor died on me a few days ago (OEM HONDA, 5 yr old replacement) and I replaced it with a used OEM HONDA speed sensor which was working at the time of install. It lasted about half hour and then died.

Today, I put a new OEM HONDA speed sensor on, and it lasted less than an hour before crapping out as well. Three hours later it jolted back into life for about 3km before dying again..
All the while that its not working, I am getting the blinking D4 light, I assume this is telling me that the sensor isnt working...

Anyway the point of all this is, is there some other component which could be consistently killing my speed sensor? The electric system in the car is in tip top shape with a 6 month old alternator and batter (both working perfectly) along with all fuses good...

thanks

Default Re: Speed sensor keeps on dying

sometimes the pins on the speed sensor plug come loose from the housing... push the wires into the plug and see if you hear a click... if so they where loose.... if thats not the issue then you'll have to check to make sure your entire wiring doesnt have some sort of condensation to it and is effin it all up
