Default stock p30 basemap

i got a chip p28 since i dont' have any wideband o2 or tuning shop close by, i was going to install p30 basemap(203 crome) in, i tested it out, it idle rough. power band was ok, specially between 2-3k rpm
it have a little bogging on it.
once it pass 3k rpm then it pick up good, when vtec kick in. then it pull ok thu.
i saw there's another p30 base map on crome, said jdm p30. i haven't try it.
will the jdm p30 basemap work on p28? and also any good place i can get a stock base map? other then xenocron? thx

It sounds like you have other issues.
Post a list of your complete engine setup.
Are you throwing any codes ?

no, i'm not throwing any code. i will check again.
crx b16a lsd y1tranny
itr flywheel.
i/h/e
4-1 dc/2.5 full catback
aem adjustable set at 0,0
blox manifold, 64mm opening, still have 56mm tb on it. will get a 66mm in few weeks
stock internal.

i use type r map, but thu idle and low cam, just run powerless.
high cam accel fast. i like that.
used b16a stock map, low cam feel great, drive good(but 2500-3000 bog)
after 3500 it pull nice all the way before vtec.
but high cam suck.
i use one of crome, p30 map with 4-1 header. it suck all the way, i don't know why
i use the other have skunk2 cam and other stuff b16a stock internal.
gave me good low cam, but high cam suck again,
so really type r so far for high cam work good. i trying to do some more reading, but i don't think i got enough time before friday night drag.

You must get a wideband gauge system to figure out what is really going on.

Have you set your distributor timing ?

What injectors are you running ?
Are they low or high impedance ?
Are you running a resistor box ?

injector are stock b16a obd0 with resistor box.
i ran the track again last night. i ran 10.009(1/8th) with obd0 ecu and dizzy,
i installed blox manifold, obd1 dizzy(gsr), and obd1 p28 since then i ran last night.
i ran 10.12 best within .003 different all night about 8 times, i know my launch control was set too low, but my 60ft time was the same the first night i ran. so i thinking the basemap is no good for me.
i can't afford wideband, but i will invest on wideband and EGT sensor. i need a stock map on it, what should i run? i used p30 map from crome(of the application) and but idle jack up.
here's whats interesting about the run, i ran 10.009 at 70.1mph before the mod, and i ran 10.12 at 71.85mph after mod, which i ran .11 slower but gain more speed.
i wonder if i have the right map, it would do better?? cuz 200bucks for manifold and made me .11 sec slower, thats bullshit, lol.

Upgrading your intake manifold will sometimes make you loose power. It all depends on the application etc.

So the one off the Crome program is good
right? I just set up what I need like vtec crossover then remove checksum then burn it. Then just wait for wideband?

I have a question mtber... What is the reason why mostly tuners dissable the knock sensor? Knock sensor pulls the timing once engine is knocking, its a safe feature.

In a lot of cases, when you change or modify parts, you'll introduce mechanical noises that weren't present from the factory, like cams or valves that require more lash, or race bearings with more clearance, or 'loose' pistons.

I tuned a supercharged F20 two summers ago, notable to me because the VTEC engagement would consistently spike the knock sensor when there was definitely no preignition or knock. K's are mechanically noisy as well.

-sorry mtber, didn't see that was directed to you...

The factory honda bseries/hseries knock sensor sucks. It does not accurately pickup knock.

Furthermore p28 ecus do not support knock sensors.
