i have a b20vtec...and live in The Bahamas..

the car has issues starting when fully cold...when i crank it over i have to give it about 3% throttle to keep it started...

do i just adjust the fuel trim untill it begins to idle well?


I have a hot start problem also....if im driving the car...fully at operating temperature...go to the gas station..turn it off...when i go to restart 2 minutes later...it will NOT start. I need to wait a few minutes and then eventually it will fire up after giving it throttle etc.

Car drives fine...air fuel ratios are fine while cruising and WOT aur fuel ratios are fine.

Just cold and hot start issues. When A/c turns on...car will idle very low and die also. It is very confusing...if I am at a rolling idle...moving while in nuetral the a/c will stay on and idle normally at 1000 yet when i come to a complete stop...it will start to drop low and cut off.

These three problems are the only things that are buggin me...i need to be able to start the car ....start it after driving...and use the A/C.

I have adjusted the values in the compemsation tables yet this only made things worse...so ive put back the values that originally were put there from hondata.

 

What do you have your IACV duty set to? Normally, 5% is sufficienct.

 

the iacv duty cycle is at normal....in regards to percentage...what do you mean?

i keep being told that its somethin to do with either fuel trim...or my compensation tables...im just not experienced enough to figure it out...thats why im askin out for help...

i got the startin issue sorted out...i added a bunch of fuel uder crankin...about 50%..


ir starts rie up but still wants to cut off wen its cold...it has to warm up untill about 96degrees iat. then will idle fine.


also i cant get car to idle with ac on
