Default Throttle Body Spacer

I saw these around by BLOX and a couple other companies. Its like $50 shipped. It says its supposed to add more HP? Does it really do anything? I have a boosted built D16 and I was wondering if I would see any gains from this?

dont waste your money.

EDIT: I say this based on the fact that i have been on the forums long enough to see hundreds of these posts made. im not saying you want gain anything, im not saying you will. but from what i have read, seen, heard, its a waste of money

Seriously, do some google research and you'll find most people have already looked into this.

Most people don't see ANY extra power. If you see someone that does, they usually added something else that screwed with the results. I think that I've only seen one test where someone experienced gains and I have no idea how that happened.

Just my opinion, take a look for yourself.

ya i looked around and couldnt really find anything that said either way so I figured id ask. I didn't really think it would add much if anything, after all how can a space inbetween ur TB and IM really add HP? its supposed to "spin" the air. You guys have any links to dyno graphs? I found tons of **** on google about them in trucks and **** adding a little HP here and there. But its supposed to add low end power which is what im looking for since my 8lb flywheel on my ultra low compression D srsly lacks TQ at low RPM.

I just found some performance forum and all the K series there are running Throttle Body Spacers. I still cant find any damn dyno sheets with an without TBS.

Also will a B16 TB fit on my D16 Intake Manifold? because they are a little bit bigger and it will flow better especially on boost

yeah it doesnt do anything but for looks IMO.. I prefer paper anyways the throttle body spacers I think your talking about is for the a2s if you plan on using an RBC(k24) throttle body. The unit is made by karcepts I believe (Its been a while)

alot of people make them. But its Bisimoto, Hondata & Evolution Industries (which MFG's some stuff for Bisi, etc). I already Ordered one of those, and I am going to do the coolant bypass on the throttle body. But I think im going to upgrade my TB to either a B16 or a OBX or BLOX 65 or 68 mm TB.

cool. I think ima try to pick up a B series TB now and put it on my motor. cuz its 60mm and cheap. Power gains under boost are supposed to be noticeable. Considering that the 70mm SK2 TB can give 15-50HP on the dyno a 60TB should give some kind of difference, even if its like 5-10WHP.

Don't waste your $50 on the spacer unless you just want it for looks. If lenghtening the intake runner another few mm would add hp without sacrificing fuel mileage or driveability Honda probably would've made it that way to start with.

i got a built Y8 Block, Z6 Head, T3/T04 .63 AR Ebay Setup I pieced together, 13PSI ~270WHP.

**** it im not getting the stupid spacer. I didnt do anything on the car for looks so im def not dropping $50 on a spacer. I'm just gonna put a heat sheilding IM Gasket, TB Coolant Bypass, and a B series TB and maybe port out my IM a bit.
