i currently have a b16a with 57 trim, 450s, street tuned @ 7psi, 2.5 straight pipe to exhaust, converted to obd1 in obd2 car. i pass emission 2 years ago when i was n/a converted to obd1, with cat, but they had sniff the tail pipe, and pass.

now has anyone pass with a turbo setup with a straight pipe? my test is next month, any tips or loopholes would be helpful. this is in washington state

 

My old setup was a stock B16 with a 57 trim Garrett and DSM 450's as well, on the small green 7lb spring in Washington State actually hahah but anyways, I put a high flow cat on and still failed. I ended up passing running ethanol and having the cat on. Worked like a charm. What county are you in?

 

im in perice county, i think i'll have to put a cat on , and leave the wastegate open, i'll update when i go thru emission

 

Bah that sucks, in my state OBD1 doesn't need emissions. My loophole is I pay someone 80bucks to pass it . If they take one look under my hood they will say "Oh helll no".
