98 i recently rebuilt the motor and after putting it in it started but would not idle. i could keep it running as long as i held the gas, the minute i let off it died, i then realized some sensors and other connectors had not been hooked up after connecting the plugs the car would no longer spark need help

 

Is the CEL on?

In addition to lacking spark, does the fuel pump also fail to prime?

If the only problem is lack of spark, then pull out the coil and ICM from the distributor and have them tested at an auto parts store. One or both may be bad.

 

No fuel is not a problem it just wont seem to spark now, but it did a few times before

 

In addition to having the coil and ICM tested, check whether the timing belt snapped.

 

ill check those but the timing belt is fine just put that on and it has no crack no splits and is perfectly on and in time

 

Its gotta be your coil or spark plugs or ignition wires. how long ago did you change the plugs and what plugs are you running?

 

to be honest i just bought them yesterday along with my spark plugs the wires i got from auto zone they were the cheap ones cuz im ballin on a budget here but hey should be fine it might be the distrubtor module cuz the cap seems fine but if you have anyother suggestions let me know need the help

 

These will help you find and remove the ICM and coil:

 

take all the plugs distributor wires and everything off then put them in again
