They work best connected to your rollbar/cage.

But you can use the rear seat belt bolts temporarily...

You realize these have the potential to KILL in a rollover, right?

Let your loved ones know that the next time they strap into your harnesses in your car without rollover protection.

You want 5 point harnesses, but you don't want a cage.

Ah, JsRacingIntegra-san wants crussed head when he flips his car over a cliff doing some "toogay" racing.

Don't worry about it cause won't need it since your head is going to be crushed

Yes, there's a nice example of turn 3 at Summit Point. That's no joke!

Thanks,

Yes, because they were using stock seatbelts.

If they had been using harnesses they'd be six feet under right now.

"Race look" isn't worth dying for.

Remember the story about Jody? https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=251408.

Nuff, said. Craig is right, don't use 4-5 point belts without a rollbar/cage. They SHOULD be sold together!

The harnesses do not allow for movement that the stock seatbelts do. Therefore on a rollover you will stay in your seat and crumple with the roof with the harnesses.

If you don't have a roll cage/bar, when the car rolls over the roof collapes. With a stock belt you can move to the side and duck down in the passenger seat, or down near the center councel. With a harness you are locked in and can't move, thus crushing your spine and head if the roof collapes.

I'm not trying to argue that 4-5pt harnesses SHOULD NOT be used with a cage....they go hand in hand like gas and oil in a car...

However, we witnessed a Subaru go on its roof and while both occupants were using harnesses WITHOUT a cage, the thing that saved them was 1pce bucket seats which prevented the roof from collapsing onto them.

But any serious roll over would probably break the seats..... anybody for CF or FRP in their spine?

RA who wonders why the upcoming Solo 1 event calls for a 5pt harness when the majority of people dun even have cages......

I agree with everyone else of course, and had a cage in my integra before. I personally would never use harnesses without at least a 4pt bar. But, if you do use them without a bar/cage, please do NOT mount them the way they are mounted in that GayDM Bride/WasteCashTa harness pic. That's some nicey nice compression of your spine waiting to happen in ANY collision if you set them up like that.

edit: spelling.

You can however have a rollbar and a stock seat/seat belt w/o a problem, right?
