1991 accord a/c not working
Whats up.. I got a 1991 accord lx and just got the ac charged and worked fine for about a month, now it stopped working. The system is still charged, checked it with a pressure gauge, compressor kicks on when a/c is turned on, just not getting cold air nor are the lines under the hood getting cold. Any ideas would be great, thanks.
the compressor is more in depth... you need to take off the lines and check it for gunk.... but your best bet is to just completely empty out the lines and re add your freon.... btw check that your heater valve is completely closed...

forget about the ***** if its blowing air that means its not the *****..... the valve is located close to the firewall under the intake manifold..... its connected to the heater hose going into the firewall from the engine bay
yea your talking about the valve that the temp. **** controls from inside the car? if so it works..guess ill spend another $60 and get it re-charged see whats happens
Did you watch the gauges when the compressor kicks on? The compressor may still kick on but may not be pumping. The gauges should move when you kick on the a/c. If they do you may have a clog in the system. I would say the clog is in the condensor
Check your heater control **** with help of a friend. You need to look under the passenger side dash while your friend turns the **** back and forth. The **** will keep turning but the cable will stop moving the heater valve. I just reached under the hood and pushed it all the way closed... which broke the ***** workings but now my ac is cold!
