Default Hood clearence solutions for LSVTEC hatch?

Just dropped a LSVTEC in my 91 SI hatch and the hood is touching/sitting on the spark plug cover in 2 spots. I put some hood spacers in but that just raised the rear more and angled it forward so that it now touches in 2 different spots Easiest solution looks like it would be to take a round tip hammer and bang out the endo-skeleton part of the hood that is touching but I thought I'd ask for help here before doing that.

Quite a few people cut the webbing out from under the hood, it works.

will cutting it out make the hood less sturdy or cause any problems like that?

the lining is just there for your engine bay more than anything else. its no hood support whatsoever. cut it out and make sure its still not rubbing..

i have had my stock hood, ViS CF ZC hood and jdm EF8 hood and no clearence issues whatsoever with my LSV. i would recommend adding washers to your mounts. the webbing is needed. what it make the hood if your in an accident, i hope you don't get in one, apply the crinkle effect. it has within it slight indentations that make it wrinkle instead of slamming straight back and taking off your head.

but after all its all up to you what you do. you could also try adjusting the little black bump stops that sit just above the middle of your headlights. those also help with this issue.

I'm using the hasport kit. I have 1/2 inch spaders in right now and I think that has solved the problem. I had a lot of rumbling/vibrations but noticed that my front crossmember is hitting on the tranny. Gonna fix that tomorrow.

Varries as these cars have not aged well.

You might need a hood, cut the webbing or nothing at all.

I PUT WASHERS OR SPACERS OR WHAT EVER THEY CALLED LIFTS UP THE HOOD I THINK IT LOOKS GOOD IDK ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE......

PICTURE IS CRAPPY CAR IN THE GARAGE BUT THE HOOD FIT PERFECT JUST LIFTS UP ALIL BIT AND YOU WONT HAVE TO CUT A WHOLE IN THE HOOD!

Lazy?

I don't know if you noticed, but that's a K swapped CRX. He did work. And it states it was done five years ago, when most people were still trying to figure out LS/VTEC.
