My brakes lock up....bad MC or booster? **urgent!!!**
I just recently converted to the RS non-ABS in my Integra. Here is a problem I run into. I can drive the car for about 7-9 minutes and then the brakes gradually and gradually lock up. To a point where the pad/caliper is putting full pressure on the rotor.
Now I cant drive anywhere. I used the GSR booster on the Integra RS master cylinder. I looked up the part numbers and found out the GSR and RS boosters are the same part numbers.
Can this be a bad Master Cylinder? The master cylinder was used.

All 4 brakes are locking up. The car locks up for about 20-30 minutes, then I can drive again for about 7-9 minutes. After pushing the brakes again, it gradually locks up
Im using the Integra RS prop valve.

disconnect the hose from the intake many to the booster.
Also check to make sure you dont have it backwards.
The arrow should point towards the intake

It does not lock up on its own right? Say you take like a 1 hr drive on an interstate and don't use the brakes at all, it won't lock up? If so, then something is not allowing the fluid to go back so sounds like the piston or something is screwy. I've never take a mc from an integra apart before so i'm not sure if there are check valves or anything in it or not. You have a helms? Perhaps it has a trouble shooting section on it.
Why not just put your "old" mc/bb back in and see what happens. You will only have to break you back laying upsidedown under the steering wheel and rebleed the entire system, but my money says that will fix your problems.
My friend had the same problem when he replaced his brakes in his DX coupe with GS-R brakes and LS MC. He replaced the MC and the problem stopped.
This may, or may not, be your problem.
Good luck.

someone else had this same exact problem (may have been Mike K?). I can't remember if the guy ever posted the solution though.

Neither of the 2 were bad. I had just used the incorrect booster on the RS master cylinder.
Here is what I noticed about the two boosters:
GSR - longer pushrod
RS - shorter pushrod
So, since the GSR pushrod is longer, its already pushing in the pistons of the master cylinder, causing my car to literally not move anywhere. It took me under an hour to swap boosters with just basic hand tools. Mission complete.
Finally I have successfully converted my GSR/ITR setup to RS spec (non-ABS)

try adjusting your salt intake. blood letting can be very dangerous.
