apexi turbo timer help - 94 civic
I've installed an apexi turbo timer on my 94 civic Si and it works kinda funny like. I don't know if I have it wired correctly. Here are the symptoms:
-While the car is running, and I turn the key to the Ignition 2 position, it turns off.
-While the car is running, and I turn the key quickly to Ignition 1 position it stays on and I can remove the key but the car is only partly on because I can't use stuff like the A/C.
Does anybody have theirs wired so it works properly? TIA

i would suggest getting a helms manual for your car, and compairing the wiring harness in the book to where the apexi wires should go for what. this should definitly help you out...sorry i have no experience with your particular situation..
thanks, I've got a wiring diagram from the haynes manual and it's kinda unclear about which wires do what as far as what is ig1 and ig2 and so on. Yikes. I guess I'll get this figured out soon enough.
perhaps go through the ignition wires with a voltmeter/test light, and check which one comes on and what position of the key. log this, then wire the apexi from there? i'm blatently talking out of my ***, as i've never hoooked up a turbo timer in my life...
I did the volt meter thing and that's how I located most of the wires but the problem is that two separate wire recieve electricity when the ignition is in position #2. I can't tap into them both so I'm kinda left wondering how the hell people do this?
Thanks anyway

Doesn't that seem a little weak to you? There has got to be a better way to hook this up or else I'm buying a different timer.
