i've never seen one in person, but i saw these pics.. http://www.**********.com/general-te...use-f18b2.html (must insert "one cam only" w/o spaces to view link.)

it looks a lot like the F23A1 head from the USDM Accord EX. my guess is the block is similar, maybe just destroked to 1.8L..?

yeah, I'd compare it with the F23A1 which puts out 150hp at the crank as the F18B.

i've read it has the 85mm bore like the F22's (where as the F23 has 86mm) and a 81mm stroke (which is pretty small!) assuming it has a 30mm compression height like most do, it should have a super revy 1.85 Rod/Stroke ratio!!!

might be a good motor for ITB's and upgraded valvetrain N/A build...

Specifications

Bore × Stroke: 85.0 × 81.0 mm

Valve Configuration: SOHC, 16 valves, VTEC
Compression ratio: 9.3:1
Max power: 138PS (103 kW)

maybe this will help ???

Can you check what numbers are cast on the head? Could be P0A, P0B or something similar. That way we can tell you what USDM valve train, intake & exhaust will bolt up. If I had to guess I would say that it is similar to a SOHC F22B head. But it could be an F22A*

Head Cast Numbers

90-93
PT3 = SOHC Non VTEC (F22A*)

94-97
P0B = SOHC Non VTEC (USDM F22B2)
P0A = SOHC VTEC (USDM F22B1)

If I had to guess then I would say that your PDA head is most like a P0A (F22B1 Accord EX (EX-R Canada)

okay thank you but what must i do in order to know for sure..

if for example i want to fit throttle boddy or cam or header or exhauts
or anything for that mather for which engine/model

i need to order parts is there anyway to know for sure ?

i guess a f22 is a 2.2L so cams for that engine would not fit my accord...

do i have to take off the valve cover and make pictures ? or take some measurements (god knows how ?)

there are so much aftermarket parts for the us engine's (what is understandable) the only problem is when i order and it doesn't fit then i have spend $$$$$ for shi*.

thanx again
