fuse 14, alternator solenoid keeps blowing. as soon as i turn the key on it blows.

any ideas?

also the grn/blk from the main relay, is it 12V from the main relay? if i cant fix this then im going to rewire for drag car.

something is grounding out look around the engine bay for loose or open wires!!!!!

 

checked engine harness, no open wires

 

Go up a size.

 

May also be a problem with the main relay or fuel pump.

 

brand new main relay, ill check the fuel pump wiring.

i did go up a size and it started then died but it didnt blow the fuse

 

getting any codes on your ecu?

 

yes but its a distributor code, converted obd1

 

what where is the alternator solenoid?

 

there is no alternator solenoid - fuse #14 is for the alternator AND the various solenoids - this is wiring diagram for fuse#14 which shows what all it controls
