Grinding but unsure what it is...
Hey, hows it going? Since you guys know so much about transmissions i figured I would see if you could answer a quick questions before i take everything appart. I have a b-series motor/trans. Turbo charged on slicks and recently put a stage 4 CC in, resurfaced the flywheel, along with a new pilot and throw off bearing. Broke it in for 3-400 miles. Was at the track, launched the car about 4 times and then on the 5th run for some reason i missed second gear. I continued the run and got it into 3rd and 4th with no problems. After I slowed down and and went to put it back in first i noticed what sounds like a grinding noise. If the car is just sitting there and i push the clutch in, just letting it out the slightest bit allows me to hear the grinding type noise. No where near the actual engagement point of the clutch. What does this sound like to you guys? If i let it all the way out the clutch does engage and i can technically drive it. Just curious what this sounds like it might be?
TIA
TIA
What pitch is the grinding at? I know both of my transmissions make noise when I let the clutch out and I am pretty sure it's my pilot bearing because I had new bearings in one of the transmissions but didn't change the pilot bearing lol. It kind of sounds like what a grinding noise would be but you can tell it's revolutions
