Hello,

I am here and have looked everywhere for some help and this looks like the best place to ask.

I have a 2000 accord 4cyl LE
a few weeks ago while it was raining really hard our car alarm kept going off randomly. At first i thought it was a key fob issue so i took all the batteries out but it still happened
I went out to the car and locked myself in and it went off - i tried using the key in the passenger side lock to disarm the security but no luck
after a little reading i heard it could be a latch issue so i took someones advice and sprayed the latches with WD40 - which solved the issue until now.

It has started doing the same thing - no rain this time just the temperature has jumped so it has been really hot out.

I tried spraying each latch individually - the hood latch didnt do anything - i tried the drivers door - i sprayed the hinge area connecting the door to the car and since then it has not gone off.

Can anyone help me? - is there something that i can do to fix this issue so it doesnt happen again or do i have to bring the car into a dealer??
